MDA Admin Configuration Editor
The configuration editor allows to change several configuration properties of the MDA Client for Android:
Device-ID
The Device-ID identifies every single MDA client device within an organization and should be unique within all the devices of an organisation. It is different for every single device
For a device to be able to use the MDA client, the device must be present in the server's device list, too.
Backend URL
The backend URL is where the organization's MDA server provides the HTTP/XML interface for MDA Clients.
It usually looks like this:
https://mda.mycompany.foobar/mda-impl/
It is not required but higly recommended to use SSL encryption.
Update URL
The update URL is where the webspace where the client can find new versions of itself, as downloadable MDA.apk
.
It usually looks like this:
https://mda.mycompany.foobar/mda-update/
Wether to shortcut system's WLAN Settings in Menu
If this option is enabled, the menu of the start screen of the main MDA app provides a short cut to Android's WLAN settings.
Wether to shortcut system's (LAN) Settings in Menu
If this option is enabled, the menu of the start screen of the main MDA app provides a short cut to Android's global settings dialog.
The intention is to show Ethernet settings, but Android's API does not provide a way to do so, showing the main settings dialog seems the next best thing.
Importing .properties files from memory card
If this button is pressed, the configuration specified in old style at.iteg.mda.com/config/*.properties files on the memory card is imported.
This might be useful to quickly distribute special settings to a large number of MDA clients.
