Downloading and Installing the MDA Server components
MDA Core Bundles
Before we redirect you to the common OSGi server installation guide, let's explain the apropriate bundles:
For Windows installations, the correct installer for MDA bundles is mda-server-core-X.X.X.X-setup.exe
from the MDA Core folder at https://fx.iteg.at.
For Linux installations, the debian package is called mda-bundles-server
.
Customer specific Bundles
Most customers will need an additional, customer specific bundle.
For Windows installations, this installer is mda-server-mycompany-X.X.X.X-setup.exe
from your company's folder at https://fx.iteg.at.
For Linux installations, the debian package is called mda-bundles-server-mycompany
.
Linux Installations only: Deb Sources for Debian Installations
Debian packages of the MDA bundles components are available using a Deb line like this:
deb https://foo:secret@deb.iteg.at/any any-mda-1 main
URL paths used by MDA
For the optional but recommended strategy of hiding Karaf behind a legacy web server acting as reverse proxy, here is a list of URL paths to patch through, valid for MDA 1.2 and higher:
URL path | Description | Remark |
---|---|---|
/dojo-1.8 | JavaScript files from DOJO framework | |
/dojo-config-manager | DOJO-Config-Manager | Optional. Should be restricted to localhost. |
/http-login/ | Authentication plugins | |
/mda-impl/ | Interfaces for mobile measurement clients | If possible, restrict to actual clients' IPs. |
/mda-web/ | Main Web UI |
Installing the Server Components
As for other steps, we have put the typical steps into a separate page, Installing OSGi Server Components for Common Setups, in our Common Documentation space.
