MDA Server Action and Status Icons

Sometimes icons are not as self-explaining as they are supposed to be

This central page describes once and for all the meanings of all action icons used in MDA's web interface:

General actions

Name	Icon	Meaning
Refresh		Refreshes the view, re-loads data from the server.
Preferences		Shows a specialized preferences dialog.
Exit / Back		Navigates back on step or level.

Object and object list actions

Name	Icon	Meaning
New		Shows a form to create a new object of the type the current screen is about, i.e. a new measure round.
Erase (Delete)		Deletes the object (shown in that row).
Edit		Show a form to edit (change) the object.
Export		Exports the data of an element or the data matching the search query to an .XLSX file. Unfortunately many export actions do not give any feedback while the data are collected. Please do not click twice!
Print to PDF		"Prints" the data shown or the data of an element to a PDF file which is then downloaded.
Search		Perform the search.
Show		Show the data of an element in the web browser.

Form actions

Name	Icon	Meaning
Clear, Reset		Empties the fields (during creation of new object).
Revert		Reverts changes made in a form.
Save		Saves a new or changed object.
Erase (Clear)		Clears the selection of a infrastructure tree node

Actions to move objects between 2 Lists

In serveral situations a group of object is split in two lists (tables: One list with the available (but not chosen) objects on the left side, and another list with the chosen objects on the right side.

These icons move objects between the two lists:

Name	Icon	Meaning
Add All		Adds all shown available objects to the chosen objects list.
Add Selected		Addes one or more selected available objects to the chosen objects list.
Remove Selected		Removes one or more selected objects from the chosen objects list.
Remove All		Removes objects from the chosen objects list.

As common, multiple objects in a list can be selected pressing the control key or shift key while clicking on items.

Status icons

 

Name	Icon	Meaning
Active		The object listed in this row is in a good and normal state, active, OK, allowed.
Inactive		The object listed in this row is not active, forbidden, or marked as deleted.
