Motivation

Exchanging files that are too large for E-Mails (a few MB) and/or represent non-public data (closed source software, real world customer data) has always been a challange.

E-Mails are always in danger of beeing mis-judged as Spam or Junk, and E-Mails larger than about 10 to 20 MB are not allowed by many E-Mail servers.

FTP is highly insecure unless wrapped in SSH (SFTP) or encrypted with SSL (SFTP), and the protocol's random-port-mania makes it difficult to manage on Firewalls (and therefore often forbidden and blocked).

Global companies' cloud services are a great way to have the NSA make backups of our data, but it's absolutely unsuitable for closed source software or customer data.

Therefore we have developed a secure web application capable of handling arbitrarily huge files, like database dumps or DVD images larger than 4 GB:

INFEX, Internet File EXchange.

Access to FX.iteg.at

Our main installation of INFEX is online at https://fx.iteg.at and allows us to provide installer downloads and exchange other data in a secure manner.

Customers who need access to FX.iteg.at usually get an ITEG userid and password at some point in the analysis, planing, or implementiation phase of a project or a particular order.

Potential future customers interested in one of our products are free to contact us, we may provide temporary access or one-time downloads ("one-time does not necessarily mean 1 chance to download, we grant arbitrary number-of-downloads and time restrictions on one-time-download links).

INFEX for Your Organisation

INFEX is in no way tightly coupled with our server setup, it can be installed on any decent server.
