About MDA

MDA is an abbreviation for Mobile Data Acquisition, is a software product from ITEG IT-Engineers GmbH (www.iteg.at).

It allows to take mobile devices on „measurements rounds“ to record several types of measurements in an easy way. While on tour, the device does not need a continuous network connection, therefore enabling the recording of data in any environment suitable for the IP Code rating of the device.

Purpose of this guide

This administration guide briefly describes the installation and maintenance of an MDA server.

The reader should be familiar with the operating system in use and TCP/IP networking.
